In Madagascar, the passage of two cyclones has devastated the country. Winds reached 250 km per hour.
For this reason, from Rome, Pope Leo XIV asked for help and prayers for those affected.

I am close to the people of Madagascar who were struck, within a short period of time, by two cyclones, with flooding and landslides. I pray for the victims and their families, and for all those who have suffered serious damage.
Minutes earlier, the pontiff had reflected on the Gospel of the day, in which Christ refined the concept of sin even further.
