The Vatican has publicly released Pope Leo XIV's travel agenda for his upcoming trip to the Principality of Monaco on March 28. It will be one-day trip, lasting only about eight hours.

Departing from the heliport in the Vatican Gardens, the pope will arrive by helicopter at 9:00am and will be received at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco. The Royal House of Monaco has highlighted the special papal meeting on its website.

Shortly after, Pope Leo will travel to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, one of the main churches of Monaco. There he is expected to say a few words to the faithful in an event that will combine tradition and community.

But the most important moment for the local community will come at 11:45am—the pope's visit to the Church of Saint Devota for a meeting with Catholic youth and catechumens.

This church is dedicated to the patron saint of Monaco and recalls a tradition deeply rooted in the territory’s history: every year, on January 26, the Royal Family and the authorities take part in the burning of a symbolic boat in the harbor, a gesture that commemorates the legendary arrival of the saint’s body. This tradition has been maintained since the late 19th century.

The day will continue in the afternoon at the Stade Louis II, the venue for an outdoor Mass open to the public. This large gathering will allow a greater number of faithful to attend.

Pope Leo will then bid farewell to Monaco and return to Rome at around 5:30pm, concluding a brief but packed visit which is sure to leave a lasting impression on the small Catholic state.
