You don’t need to travel to Rome or to St. Peter’s Basilica. You can pray with Pope Leo XIV from anywhere in the world, at any time of day.

And what kind of change is this? Well… rather than being a catechesis that invites us to pray after the video, it is a prayer itself — that is, the Pope starts from intuition.
And in that sense, praying through a video is making this shift: saying, I’m not going to tell you why this topic is important, but rather, I’m going to pray with you, opening myself in this video so that you can join in my prayer.
The pontifical work and Vatican foundation of the World Prayer Network originates in the Apostleship of Prayer, which began with Pope Leo XIII. This initiative is supported by three specific pillars.

Prayer, service, and the formation that this kind of person develops between prayer and service.
And from there, we pray for those same intentions, knowing that our prayer is directed toward the challenges in the world and the Church that the Pope identifies.
Those who work at this organization, which is currently managed by the Society of Jesus, had the opportunity to meet with Pope Leo XIV to share ideas about this new project.
