The general audience morning began with Pope Leo XIV’s ride around in the popemobile. It's a very special moment that often stirs deep emotions among the faithful.
As is tradition, the Pope’s security team brought babies for him to bless, but this time, he was also handed a classic American symbol: a baseball, which he paused to sign.
The Pope finished greeting everyone and began the catechesis, this time focused on the topic of work. Despite the growing heat in Rome, the square was packed with people, listening attentively to his teaching.
POPE LEO XIV
I would like to say, especially to the young, do not wait, but respond enthusiastically to the Lord who calls us to work in his vineyard. Do not delay, roll up your sleeves, because the Lord is generous and you will not be disappointed! Working in his vineyard, you will find an answer to that profound question you carry within you: what is the meaning of my life?
After the catechesis, Pope Leo greeted the various linguistic groups from around the world, gave them his blessing, and prayed the Our Father in Latin with them.
