The upcoming Vatican concert will not only feature world-renowned musical artists – it will also include a light-show with 3,500 drones.

The person in charge of the light-show is Elon Musk’s brother, Kimbal Musk, who runs a performance drone company. The project is now confirm, but the supposed Vatican light-show was mentioned many months ago.

In January, Kimbal visited Rome and posted about it on his social media. It was during that visit that he met with the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, and other Italian government officials.

Rome's mayor later confirmed that he met with Musk and their meeting had something to do with a drone-show proposal for the 2025 Jubilee Year.

However, it was not revealed what exact event the drones would be used for or if the proposal was approved.

It's now been announced that Musk's company will be putting on a drone light-show for the Jubilee concert this September 13. With visuals inspired by the Sistine Chapel, the light-show promises to be one of the most breathtaking displays ever seen in the Roman night sky.
