This is how the Bernaga monastery in Lecco looked, where St. Carlo Acutis made his First Communion in 1998. Twenty-one cloistered nuns of the order of the Romite Ambrosiane lived there, and all of them had to be evacuated.

The true cause of the fire is not yet known, but everything indicates that it may have been caused by a short circuit in one of the convent cells. Now we must wait to see the results of the investigation being carried out by the authorities.

Fortunately, the fire broke out on the eve of the first liturgical feast of Saint Carlo Acutis, which takes place on October 12. The saint known as "God's influencer" was canonized on September 7 and became the first saint of the millennial generation.
