This was followed by a brief visit to the Chapter Hall, where the exhibition of the Bible of Borso d’Este is located. It is one of the greatest works of Italian Renaissance art, dating back to the 15th century.
Its presence in Rome is special. This exhibition is on display in the Eternal City specifically for the Jubilee Year. It is normally kept in the city of Modena and is only shown to the public on rare occasions. With his visit, Pope Leo became one more Jubilee pilgrim to see it.
