Just like one of the children, the Pope sang what has become an unofficial anthem of the Church, “Jesus Christ, You Are My Life,” composed by priest, and director of the Choir of the Diocese of Rome, Marco Frisina.
The lighthearted moment took place in the Paul VI Hall during the audience the Pontiff held with the children due to take part in the Vatican Summer Camp. The youngsters are all children of Holy See employees, and during his address, the Pope warned them about the use of technology, joking that he himself had gotten lost after relying on GPS in cities he did not know.
Pope Leo also received the summer uniform worn by the camp instructors, along with several gifts from the group, who welcomed him with applause and cheers.
