The Apostolic Almoner, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, will travel to Ukraine for the fourth time on behalf of Pope Francis.

This time, he will go to Odessa, Žytomyr, Kharkiv and other cities in the east of the country. These are some of the communities that have been suffering due to the war for more than 200 days.

According to a statement from the newly created Dicastery for the Service of Charity, the trip will be 'silent and evangelical.' They say the cardinal will be 'with the suffering people,' praying and comforting those who have suffered destruction.

Cardinal Krajewski's visit will also offer concrete help to the various diocesan groups of Caritas members serving on the front lines.

In March, the Polish cardinal received an ambulance blessed by the Pope to take to Lviv. Jesuit Cardinal Michael Czerny has also visited Ukraine on behalf of Pope Francis.
