2016-04-18

After an intense weekend, on Monday, the pope meets with the new president of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadéra in Rome. It is his first international trip, and comes to the Vatican especially to thank him for the good fortune that he has left behind, upon visiting his country.

On Tuesday, the Pope will welcome some well deserved rest, as he does not seem to have any meetings.

On Wednesday, Pope Francis will have the general audience in St. Peter's Square, to continue his series of catechesis on mercy in the New Testament.

Also during the weekend, he will celebrate the  Jubilee of Adolescents in Rome. On Saturday, the colonnade of St. Peter will be filled with confessionals for young people. The place is strategic, on their way to the holy door.

In the evening, a music festival and testimonies will await them at the Olympic Stadium in Rome. And on Sunday they will have a Mass dedicated to them with Pope Francis.
