Pope Francis speaks about situations that touch our daily lives at work, in the community, in families, and in other everyday areas. In fact, the United Nations Organization (UN) has stated that the origins of the humanitarian crises, can arise from environmental, social and cultural policy issues. 

For Pope Francis, humanity is experiencing a crisis that is not just economical but "ecological, educational, moral, and human.”

His prayer intention video for the month of August focused on sports and the culture of encounter.
