Pope sends condolences for victims of Turkish cargo jet crash

January 16, 2017. On Monday morning, a Turkish cargo plane has tragically crashed in Kyrgyzstan, killing dozens and hospitalizing many others. Many homes and vehicles in the small village are also destroyed. Tropical fusion, catchy lyrics and a upbeat melodies. They are "Alfareros”, a Dominican band that is shaking up Christian music since 1995.

They were born more than 20 years ago in La Romana, Dominican Republic. They wanted to incorporate musical elements that were unusual for Christian music.

They have toured all over the Caribbean, as well as Latin America and the United States. Now they are ask to play in venues all over the world. Their passion-filled lyrics connect with people of all places and ages.

"Alfareros” have recorded six albums, and they have been part of the soundtrack at the WYD in Sydney, in 2008, and in Rio de Janeiro, in 2013.

Their music has given them the opportunity to travel the world, but what they are most thankful for is the chance to be able to speak about God everywhere they go.
