Pope Francis will visit Asia and Africa in 2017


In a videomessage addressed to his compatriots, Pope Francis explained that he will not be able to visit his homeland in 2017 because he has "other engagements in Asia and Africa.” He did not specify which countries he will visit nor did he say if he will visit other American countries like Colombia or Peru.

He encouraged Argentinians to "shoulder the Motherland”, thus following the example of Mama Antula, beatified in August, and the "Gaucho Priest” Jose Gabriel del Rosario Brochero, who will be canonized on October 16.
