According to a new study, Pope Francis is the most influential person on Twitter. ;

The report looks at the account of 669 leaders and heads of state from 166 countries. The influence is not about who has the most followers, but rather about who is re-tweeted the most. ;

The study shows that Pope Francis is the winner. Every one of his tweets is re-tweeted an average of 9, 929 times. That's eight times more than president Obama's tweets. ;This despite the fact that president Obama has 58 million followers. ;

Pope Francis has 20 million followers. His account is unique because it doesn't interact or respond to other accounts. ;Furthermore, it doesn't do any promotional activity and it doesn't follow anyone. The Pope has nine Twitter accounts, including one in Latin-the official language of the Vatican. ;
