When Pope Francis makes public appeals to help refugees who've lost it all, he's talking about families like these.
This is the scene in Hungary, where refugees are arriving day in and day out. The majority are fleeing wars in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan.
They want to make it to Germany and Austria, where asylum is being granted. But trains were blocked in Budapest and protests have broken out.

'Our family and children have no more money to eat. To drink water, at least. To drink milk, at least. We have no more words to describe our situation. Tell me, what is the definition of being a refugee? What is it? A refugee is to be treated underground? To be sitting on the street ? Is this the message of the refugee?â?
Continuing the journey and actually arriving to countries that are granting asylum is not an easy task. A country may be granting asylum, but it's neighboring countries may not necessarily open its borders to let them go through.

'There needs to be a way that some of these refugees are relocated to other European countries on equal basis. No country should be left to deal with the refugee issue all by itself.â?
Along the Mediterranean, the desperation grows. This Norwegian ship picked up 781 migrants. Not everyone survived. Four dead bodies were recovered.
The ship is making its way to Italy. Joy, a Nigerian refugee, says she didn't know just how dangerous the journey would be. Still, she prefers the unknown to the instability back home.

'I don't know where I'm going, and I don't know where I'm coming from.â?
They are the lucky ones... The one's who survived the wars back home and the journey by land and sea. It's not over yet. They still have to begin yet another chapter, another challenge in a foreign land.
