'Holy Father, good to meet you

'God bless you

'Thank you very much

Pope Francis welcomed the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, to the Vatican's Apostolic Palace.

They met for about 20 minutes. Among the topics they discussed was the Ebola outbreak affecting some West African nations. They also talked about the ways in which the Catholic Church contributes to the country's health and education sectors. The issue of the family, was also a major point of interest.

The president gave the Pope a medallion with the shield of the country embroided on it and also his autobiography. The Pope gave him, a copy of his apostolic exhortation, Evangelii Gaudium.

'It's a philosophical, political, social and religious reflection that I wrote.  As a Christian, you will understand it very well.â?

'Wonderful

The president was elected in 2012. In Ghana about 70 percent of the population is Christian. Roughly 13 percent is Catholic.
