Pope Francis to visit a â??Polish Parishâ? in Rome

On Sunday, May 4th, Pope Francis will visit the Roman parish of St. Stanislaw. ;Usually, the Polish community in Rome attends this parish. On this occasion they'll have a thanks giving Mass in light of the canonization of St. John Paul II. ;

Before the canonization, he sent a video message to Poland, where he described John Paul II as an example. In it, he says, the new saint encouraged Christian to not be afraid. ;

During his visit, he is expected to meet a group of homeless people as well. ;

The two hour visit will start at 9:30 am. Pope Francis will then head back to the Vatican to lead the Regina Coeli in St. Peter's Square. ;
