It's a song that was played during World Youth Day in Madrid. It's a tune remember to this day, despite the fact that it was played back in 2011. ;

It's the work of WYD's Choir and Orchestra, or the Orquesta Sinfonica y Coro JMJ, which set the tone as more than 1 million youths welcomed Benedict XVI. ;

Three years have passed, but many fans have asked for a compilation album. Now 148 musicians and 160 Spanish singers are looking into recording it. ;

Making that happen could cost over 30,000 dollars. So, the group started a 'crowdfunding' campaign, hoping to raise roughly 3,300 dollars to rent out sound equipment. They're looking for people to donate anywhere from five to 200 euros. ;

To thanks donors, the group is planning on writing an appreciation note on their website, to free concert tickets and even singing lessons. ;

The donation period will close on August 17th. If they haven't raised the money by then, they will return the money to donors. ;

Funding is critical for this type of project to move forward. For those who can't make a donation, the group has launched a social media campaign through twitter. Titled hashtag #yoestuveenlajmjmadrid2011, which translates to, I went to World Youth Day in Madrid 2011, the group is hoping that fans can share their favorite songs, so they'll know which ones to include in the album. ;
