Italian Cardinal Francesco Marchisano passes away

Italian Cardinal Francesco Marchisano passed away on Sunday, July 27, in Rome, at the age of 85. He worked at the Roman Curia since 1956, especially within the Congregation for Catholic Education. In 2002, John Paul II named him Archpriest of the Basilica of St. Peter, president of the Factory of St. Peter, and Vicar General of the Vatican City State.
