Pope meets with the new Belgian ambassador...and many children

The new ambassador of Belgium to the Holy See presented his credential letters to the Pope along with this message.  "The affectionate sentiments of our majesties, King Philip and Queen Matilde.â? Bruno Ní¨ve de Mévergnies was accompanied by several members of his delegation as well as his family. Each of his four daughters gave the Pope a white rose. Although the youngest one needed a little more convincing.  "Will you give the flower to the Pope?â? The children were well-behaved throughout the meeting and adapted to the formal protocol. As can be seen when posing for the photos, they were the stars of the meeting.  AC/JAE CTV VM -BN Up: AC
