During the Sunday Angelus, the pope spoke of divine salvation and mercy. He called on Christians to take the act of salvation seriously and strive to break through the door that leads to it.
POPE FRANCIS
'If God is good and loves us, why close the door at a given moment? Because our life is not a video game or a soap opera. Our life is serious and has a goal that we have to achieve: The eternal salvation.â?
Pope Francis explained that it is important to recognize the pathway the leads to the door of salvation. He said that although the door is narrow, it is always open.

'It's a narrow door not because it is oppressive but because it asks us to contain and limit our pride and fear to open ourselves to Him; with a humble and trusting heart, recognizing sinners in need of forgiveness.'
The pope paused for a moment of reflection to remember the victims of the terrorist attack that took place on Saturday night in Turkey.
POPE FRANCIS
'Sad news has reached me about the bloody attack that was carried out yesterday in 'dear Turkey.' Let us pray for the victims, for the dead and the injured, and we ask for the gift of peace for all.â?
More than 50 people were killed and hundreds were injured during the attack. They were celebrating a wedding party.
