Pope Francis met with 17 bishops from Paraguay this morning in the Vatican, during their ad limina visit. Their faces could not hide their excitement.

Pope Francis spoke with them about the work of a bishop, saying everyone must speak frankly and openly.

After the traditional photo, the pope gave them gifts one-by-one. When saying goodbye, he even joked with some of them.

'You look very good! How old are you?”

'81'.

'We're the same age!'

Then he congratulated others...

'You have a great authority and deep humility. You do it well.'

The pope had visited Paraguay in July 2015. This was the first time he met with them since the trip.
