In late September, Pope Francis will embark on an intense four-day trip to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, as the three Baltic nations are celebrating their 100th anniversaries.

Following his arrival in Vilnius, Lithuania, on Saturday, September 22, the pope will hold an encounter with the youth in the square outside the city's cathedral.

On Sunday, Pope Francis makes the 60-mile trip to Kaunas, where he will celebrate Mass and pray the Angelus in a park, then meet with clergy. Later, he will return to Vilnius for a visit to a religious persecution and liberation museum.

The Holy Father travels on Monday to the Latvian capital, Riga, where he will participate in an ecumenical encounter at the city's cathedral.

Pope Francis concludes his trip in the Estonian capital, Tallinn. There, he will hold another ecumenical meeting, this time with youth at a Lutheran church.
