Even with the jetlag after WYD in Panama, Pope Francis continued his usual agenda and met members from the Court of the Roman Rota in the Vatican.

Pope Francis inaugurated their Judicial Year by explaining that today's society does promote the growth of faith, especially within the sacrament of marriage.

POPE FRANCIS
'It is necessary that the Church in all its articulations acts in harmony, to offer adequate spiritual and pastoral support.'

As the judges capable of annulling marriages, the pope thanked them for 'seeking justice in their sentences.' He also gave two keys to marriage and life: unity and fidelity.

POPE FRANCIS
'Married couples who live generous unity and faithful love reflect the image and likeness of God. This is the good news: that fidelity is possible. Because it is a gift for both spouses and priests.'

The Apostolic Court of the Roman Rota is the Court of Appeal of the Holy See. It is the highest ecclesiastical tribunal of the Catholic Church, after the Supreme Court of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and the Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signatura.
