For the first time ever, the Tim Tebow Foundation's Night to Shine came to Rome, hosting a dance for people with disabilities. Newlyweds Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters made a surprise appearance to personally walk their many guests in on the red carpet.

“We have a red carpet because you're important, because you matter because you're valuable. We want people to walk away knowing their value is not from us, but from God.”

“Tonight is about letting each and every guest know they are a king and a queen, not just today, but every single day in the eyes of the God of this universe. That He loves them and He adores them and that they count and they are special.”

The foundation is celebrating its 10th year, while the dance is in its sixth. The ideas for both stemmed from Tebow's Christian upbringing and his personal mission to bring faith, hope and love to everyone.

“It started with Sherwin, a boy in the Philippines with his feet on backwards. His village, threw him away and looked at him as cursed, as less than, as insignificant. I knew from that day on what I was supposed to do is fight for people who can't fight for themselves.'

That's why the Tim Tebow Foundation also has a hospital, orphanages, adoption assistance and grants wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses.

It's a global effort that has brought them to Rome, where they hope to dance the night away with all those attending Italy's first-ever Night to Shine.

'I think the dance floor is waiting, so there's a really good DJ and everyone is dancing, you have to come join me.”

After kicking off the events in Europe, they will make their way across the United States, helping even more people remember their importance and value.
