Pope Francis met with bishops from Switzerland gathered in Rome.

The atmosphere was very friendly, as the group shared many laughs.

The bishops brought the Pope Swiss chocolates.

They are gathered in Rome to meet with Vatican officials and report on the state of their dioceses to the Pope as part of their ad Limina Apostolorum visit

In Latin the visit literally means “to the threshold of the Apostles,” referring the obligation of bishops to periodically visit Rome.
