At the end of the Angelus, Pope Francis reminded those present that he would travel to Marseille, France this week. He said he will attend a meeting with religious and civil authorities of the Mediterranean to discuss regional challenges, such as the migration crisis.

POPE FRANCIS
It represents a challenge that is not easy as we see also from current news reports, but it's one that must be faced together as it is essential for everyone's future, which will only be prosperous if it is built on fraternity, putting human dignity first, concrete people, especially the most in need.

For example, almost 12,000 migrants and refugees arrived in Italy in the last 5 days. But the issue is that the welcome centers do not have the means nor the infrastructure to receive them in proper conditions.
