Starting January 1st, the Vatican Museums will implement new measures in preparation for the 2025 Jubilee. These guidelines include extending visiting hours—the Museums will be open from 8am to 7pm instead of the usual 9am to 6pm.

During seasons of high tourism, these hours will be extended even further with the Museums closing at 8pm. The goal is provide longer access time to visitors.

Additionally, the Vatican Museums will introduce a new ticketing system to combat the secondary ticketing and resale phenomenon, which will involve visitors showing their IDs upon entry together with tickets with the buyer's names.

A major project will also include expanding air conditioning throughout the exhibition rooms for the well-being of visitors.
