Over 1,000 female college students from around the world visit Rome to experience Holy Week by the Pope's side.

POPE FRANCIS
I cordially greet the Spanish-speaking pilgrims, especially the participants in the UNIV 2024 meeting.

Pope Francis told them that they should live these days “contemplating Christ's crucifixion.” Each day, the participants have prayer, reflection and workshops and get to see the city of Rome.

MARTA ZARAGOZA
Above all, it has had a great impact on me to meet with so many young women who come from all over the world and who all love the Pope and the Church, and to share with them how they live this experience of Christ, of believing in God, from their own countries.

TERESA BUENO
To see the pope and so many people accompanying him and so many Christians, I think it is something that does not leave you indifferent and every year renews you, you want to come back with more desire.

For some, this experience is a sign of the universality of the Church.

XENIA NAVARRO
I was very impressed, I did not expect so many people, far from it. A lot of young people, with a lot of enthusiasm, with a lot of illusion.

MARÍA RODRÍGUEZ
It is my first year at UNIV and I would definitely come back and repeat it with my group of friends.

Although the Pope welcomed the young people with enthusiasm, many are concerned about his health.

This meeting of college students from around the world is held every year during Holy Week.
