"For Pete's Sake: A Vatican podcast" returns this week with guest Fr. Robert Mehlhart, the Rector of the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome, also known as “PIMS.” Fr. Mehlhart shares stories of how sacred music brought him from southern Germany to the Eternal City, how he became close with Pope Benedict XVI’s brother, Georg Ratzinger, through a shared love of music, as well as the central importance and history of Gregorian Chant within the Catholic Church.
