Right in the center of Sydney, beside the cathedral and the towering skyscrapers, an impressive pavilion recreates the Sistine Chapel. Inside this cube, an immersive experience dedicated to the work of Michelangelo allows visitors to understand the history of Salvation.

It is the first exhibition of this kind globally, working with images from the Vatican. So, there was a real sense of responsibility around how we approached this project… to ensure we were doing justice
With an introductory route that provides the historical, artistic, and religious perspective of the chapel, the exhibition offers a half-scale replica of the original. In that room, the frescoes decorating the chapel are projected in high definition, revealing details not visible to the naked eye and helping visitors understand their meaning.

I hope the visitors will be inspired. I hope people will leave the experience feeling they developed something, that they were inspired by Michael Angelo’s work, that they’re intrigued. They experience that sense of wonder and hope they feel breathtaking by the scale of the Sistine Chapel.
The exhibition, titled Revelations, is the result of more than three years of work by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney in collaboration with the Vatican Museums.
A powerful evangelizing initiative, it was commissioned in Sydney under Archbishop Anthony Fisher as part of the journey toward the International Eucharistic Congress in 2028.

Yeah! The fact it is not just a gallery, but it is a portrait of your life and how you are through Christ. I’m glad I got that experience and I like to invite my family and friends to it.
And this immersive exhibition will not remain limited to Sydney. Its next destination will be the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas in Texas.
