Pope Leo XIV finished his summer vacation on Monday, July 27th. He returned to Castel Gandolfo two days later for a concert in the gardens. He was welcomed by Cardinal Fabio Baggio.

CARD. FABIO BAGGIO

Co-Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development
It is with deep joy and gratitude that I welcome you to Borgo Laudato Si', in the papal gardens of Castel Gandolfo, for this moment of prayer, fellowship and music.

Andrea Bocelli sang, accompanied by a choir of about 200 children from across the world, including: Italy, Uganda and the Holy Land.

The pope thanked them for participating in the event.

POPE LEO XIV
We have just listened to your beautiful singing. Music has the remarkable ability to bring different voices together in unison, where each one contributes something unique to the whole. In this sense, choir becomes an ideal symbol of harmony and cooperation.

The concert's purpose mirrors the pope's appeal: to pray for peace.
