After having lunch at the bishop’s palace, Leo XIV set off toward Metz Cathedral, Saint Stephen’s, where he was due to celebrate Mass.
He was greeted by hundreds of faithful who gathered along the barriers to see him, chanting his name. The Pope continued his now-traditional blessings of babies.
Metz is the final stop on the Pope’s trip to France. He will return to Rome in the afternoon.
