This week’s audience in St. Peter’s Square had a very special finale. After the catechesis, the Pope welcomed a group of donors and friends of Rome Reports.
It was a heartwarming encounter, as the Pope recalled having presented Rome Reports’ latest documentary just a few months before being elected pope.
ROBERT FRANCIS PREVOST
Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops
I have great apreciation for the respect, for the formation they receive, for what their presence, especially as the guard of the Holy Father, which gives great, if you will, security, on many levels.
It was the premiere of the documentary “Honor in Armor,” which reveals previously unseen documents from the Pontifical Swiss Guard, and which then-Cardinal Prevost had the privilege of viewing.
This co-production by Rome Reports and the Swiss public broadcaster SRF will be available on Amazon before the end of the year. And that is precisely what Rome Reports CEO Antonio Olivié told the Pope.
ANTONIO OLIVIÉ
CEO Rome Reports
He really liked the documentary. In fact, he told us it was a model of how the Catholic Church should communicate. That’s why we were so excited to tell him that we doubled the viewership figures on Swiss public television during the documentary’s premiere and that the documentary will now be available on Amazon Prime.Along with the documentary on the Swiss Guard, Rome Reports now has the documentary “Follow That Bishop!” about Fulton Sheen available on Amazon Prime Video. It premiered a few weeks ago in St. Louis, Missouri, on the eve of the canonization of the new American blessed. The film reveals previously unpublished FBI documents that show the agency was monitoring Fulton Sheen, who was a television sensation at the time.
Ira De Witt, head of the SAINT spirituality platform, gave out scented candles at the premiere dedicated to Saint Jude Thaddeus.
