Pope Francis celebrates the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation on Thursday, September 1.
Pope Francis established the day to offer people throughout the world the opportunity to renew their intention to care for the environment. He has also asked for all Christian Churches of Europe to him join him in prayer on this special day. ;
In order to celebrate, he will lead a Liturgy beginning at 5 p.m. Rome, in St. Peter's Basilica.
