Pope Francis met with Korean bishops for their 'ad limina visit to Rome. In written remarks given to the bishops, the Pope encouraged them to treat young people like 'partners in their pastoral plans.

POPE FRANCIS
Letter to Korean Bishops
Be close to them, and show them that you are concerned for them and understand their needs. This closeness will not only strengthen the institutions and communities of the Church, but will also help you to understand the difficulties they and their families are experiencing in their daily lives in society.

Young people 'challenge us to share the truth of Jesus Christ clearly and in a way that they can understand, according to the Pope.

He visited South Korea last year and reflected on the trip in his remarks to the bishops. Pope Francis said that the beatification of Paul Yun Ji-chung and his companions was 'one of the most beautiful moments of his trip to Korea.

Leaders in the Church should approach their work as a service, the Pope reminded the bishops. He said that Christ came to serve.

The Bishop and Apostolic Prefect of Mongolia also joined the Korean bishops.
