On Monday, April 20th, Pope Francis will meet with Slovenia's new ambassador to the Holy See. The envoy will present his credentials to the Pope. On the same day, the Holy See Press Office will host a press conference about the canonization of Junipero Serra, the Franciscan friar who will become a saint during the Pope's trip to the United States. The Pope's weekly general audience will be held on Wednesday, with thousands of pilgrims from throughout the world expected to attend. ; The new ambassador from Colombia will present his credentials to the Holy Father on Saturday. The next day, April 26th, Pope Francis will ordain priests in St. Peter's Basilica. The celebration will begin at about 9:00 a.m. local time. Pope John Paul II started the ordination tradition in 1993, and it is repeated every year during the fourth Sunday of Easter, which is also the World Day of Prayer for Vocations.
