This time, the Angelus was marked by the celebration of Palm Sunday. For this reason, Pope Francis did not preside it from the window of the Apostolic Palace, but instead from the altar in St. Peter's Square after the Mass.
The Pope greeted those who would be volunteering in the next World Youth Day to be held in Krakow in late July.
POPE FRANCIS
'My special greeting goes to all the young people here today, and is extended to all of the youths in the world. I hope that many of you can come to Krakow, the homeland of Saint John Paul II, the founder of World Youth Day .We entrust to his intercession the final months of preparation for this pilgrimage, in the context of the Holy Year of Mercy, will be the Jubilee of the Young People at the level of the Universal Church.'
Pope Francis asked the youth to go forward with courage and thanked the volunteers of WYD from Krakow who have traveled to Rome to celebrate the day with him. Upon their return to Poland, they will bring back blessed olive palms from Jerusalem, Assisi and Montecasino.
