Pope Francis held a meeting with the World Methodist Council. Gillian Kingston, its vice president, gave him a few words.

'On a number of occasions you have reminded Christians that we must exercise a radical hospitality.

They spoke to the Pope about the refugees and migrants and the common ecumenical commitment to act and give aid to the most vulnerable.

Pope Francis reminded them of the importance of the common baptism.

POPE FRANCIS
'This baptismal faith is responsible for really converting us into brothers and sisters.

The Pope celebrated the opening of a new ecumenical Methodist headquarters in Rome. He asked them to make every effort possible to get to know each other among Catholics and Methodists. He also explained that a community can be built between the two Churches, in working together by lending a hand to help the needy, especially in a wounded world, like the one we all share today.
