Pope Francis asks for the role of women to be assessed in his May prayer intention video

(ONLY VIDEO) In his May prayer intention video, Pope Francis asks that women's contribution to society, especially in the family, is recognized. He denounced salary discrimination and issues like sexual and labor exploitation. "The contribution of women in all areas of human activity is undeniable," he says, "but is it enough only to recognize it?" According to the World Health Organization, 35% of women in the world have suffered physical or sexual violence at some point in their lives. JRB/MP Elvideodelpapa - -PR up:FV #Pope Francisco
