Pope Francis held a private meeting with the founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan. The meeting was cordial and friendly.

'It's an honor to meet you.

Both the Pope and Facebook CEO already share some common interests in
bridging people together through communication and technology.

'It's about connecting people all over the world and how most people in the world don't have internet access.

With the aid of Holy See Press Office director Greg Burke as an interpreter, Mark Zuckerberg shared this powerful book with images and text of people from across the globe accessing the internet for the first time.

'Connecting in different ways.â?

In return, Pope Francis gave the Facebook CEO and his wife a copy his book, 'The Name of God Is Mercy, as they spoke about the importance of the culture of encounter and delivering a message of hope to the disadvantaged.

Before saying goodbye, the pope reminded Zuckerberg and his wife to pray for him.

'God bless you, pray for me.â?

Mark Zuckerberg is the latest tech industry mogul to meet Pope Francis. In January, the pope meet with Appleâ??s CEO Tim Cooke and Googleâ??s former CEO, Eric Schmidt, at the Vatican.
