Wednesday morning his General Audience will begin at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Square, and there are no tickets required to attend. Later, Pope Francis will address the thousands expected to attend the closing day of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2016.
The pope has declared Thursday, September 1 the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. He wants to offer people throughout the world the opportunity to renew their intention to care for the environment. He will lead Mass at 5 p.m. local Rome time.
On Saturday, Pope Francis will celebrate a catechesis for workers and volunteers of mercy at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Square and will continue celebrating the Jubilee weekend for them.
On Sunday, he will preside over the canonization of Mother Teresa at 10 a.m., while concluding the Jubilee for workers and volunteers of mercy. After the celebration of Mother Teresa as a saint, he will also lead the faithful in the Angelus prayer in the company of thousands of pilgrims from around the world in St. Peter's Square at noon.
