Just short of Pixar: the new movie about the Fatima apparitions

The story of the Marian apparitions at Fatima return to the big screen... making a grand entrance.

Besides the top-notch quality of the cartoons, the strong suit of the movie is the storytelling: it describes past events, but with a very contemporary spin.

"This is not a modern film of Fatima because we are going to tell the story about Fatima, but we are going to tell in a modern way."

"Do not fear. I am the Angel of Peace."

The movie is not completely finished and will include the events commemorating the 100-year anniversary of the apparitions, including Pope Francis' possible visit to Portugal in 2017.

"We are going to put on the movie also the centenary of Fatima, what is going to happen on 13th of May next year. It's going to appear that in the characters of Pope Francis also what is going to happen there in a century of Fatima, it's going to appear in an animated way in our movie."

Filming started three years ago. Oscar nominees have participated in it, including those nominated for their work in the animated short film, "The Cathedral."
