Bruno Marie Duffé, new secretary of the Department for Integral Development


The pope has named French priest Bruno Marie Duffe, from Lyon, number two of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development. Duffè is co-founder and director of the Institute of Human Rights of the Catholic University of Lyon. He is 65 years old and has participated as an expert in international missions of UN Refugee Agency and in organizations such as Caritas, Terre des Hommes and Doctors without Borders. As secretary, he will be in charge of implementing the initiatives of one of the key departments in the Vatican Curia.
