Moment police woman falls and Pope Francis comes to console

At the end of the Mass in Iquique, police woman Ana Belén Aguilera fell from her horse right as Pope Francis happened to be passing by in the popemobile.

The pope ordered the vehicle to stop in order to help her. He stayed with her for several minutes while emergency personnel arrived. Later, while she was in the hospital, the officer received a gift sent by the pope: a rosary.

The horse reared up because of the people’s applause and damaged the popemobile.
