After wrapping up his final event in Madrid and landing in Barcelona, the Pope’s first stop was the city’s cathedral, where hundreds of faithful were waiting to welcome him.
Once inside, the pontiff recited the Midday Prayer and then proceeded to the tomb of Saint Eulalia, a Christian martyr from the early centuries. There he spent a few minutes in prayer, accompanied by Cardinal Omella.
