A committed companion for Lenten observance

On Catholics' quest to fulfill their Lenten obligations, a new app wants to ensure they're not alone. Lent Buddy aims to be the friendly voice of reason preventing commitments from slipping one's mind.

Whether it's abstaining from meat on Fridays or attending special seasonal services, this platform is there to remind the faithful of their duties. A simple interface allows users to program notifications for reminders and recommendations.

For a more tailored guide, the app keeps track of personal Lenten observance, such as giving up a favorite treat. Just in case one loses hope or focus on his or her goal, optional daily readings and inspirational quotes provide the boost needed.

Lent Buddy, the willing companion able to keep Catholics on track toward Easter Sunday, is available for free in English on all Apple devices.
