On Sunday, the pope will ordain 16 deacons as priests in St. Peter's Basilica.
Six of them are Neocatechumenals, five from the Roman diocesan seminary, four from the Family of the Disciples and one from the “Little Work of Divine Providence.”
Six of them are Italians, but others also represent Colombia, El Salvador, Madagascar, Croatia, Vietnam, Myanmar and Peru.
The Church traditionally calls the fourth Sunday of Easter “Good Shepherd Sunday,” and the days is dedicated to prayer for vocations worldwide. The ceremony will begin at 9:15 a.m., local Rome time.
