In his prayer intention video for the month of June, Pope Francis asks prayers for a relatively new concept in society: social networks.

He asks that instead of dividing, they can work toward “that inclusiveness which respects others for their differences.”

He says that while “the Internet is a gift from God, it is also a great responsibility.” It widens the opportunities for so many and offers “immense possibilities for encounter and solidarity.”

Yet, it can also be a place of alienation. Thus, Pope Francis prays that it “may be a concrete place, a place rich in humanity, that works toward inclusiveness “which respects others for their differences.”
