Synod on Youth and Vocation will begin on Wednesday, October 3rd with Pope Francis celebrating Mass

On October 3rd Pope Francis will start the Synod on Youth and Vocation with a Mass in St. Peter's Basilica. 

The ceremony will replace the traditional Wednesday general audience. 

The meeting of Bishops, representing all countries of the world, will last 25 days and finish on Sunday, October 28th. 

During these weeks, Pope Francis plans to participate daily in all the meetings and preside over two other important ceremonies. 

The canonization of Monsignor Romero and Pope Paul VI on Sunday, October 14th , and the solemn closing of the Synod on Sunday, October 28th.
